Santander is a perfect resort if you enjoy walking. The beaches and views of the Cantabrian make it almost compulsory not only for tourists visiting the city but also for locals. Guests at the Hotel Silken Río can walk along the coast to the famous peninsula of La Magdalena in just 10 minutes. Here, they can see the palace of the same name on top of a cliff formed by the waves of the Cantabrian. Less than 15 minutes away on foot, they can also visit the Gardens of Piquio, the dock of Las Carabelas, the Menéndez Pelayo International University, the Conference Centre and the football stadium of the team Racing de Santander, El Sardinero, which shares its name with this characteristic quarter of Santander.
